Dear My Scene Fans,
Last night, I treated my family to rental movies and movie treats, and I watched a rental version of "Obsessed"; the movie was both cool and interesting.
Later, I watched the original, Sci-Fi Channel movie "Mammoth", which I'd so dramatically lamented having missed a few years (?) back; what a good laugh, but what a painfully s...l...o...w...movie!
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Dear My Scene Fans,
I recently acquired the 1962, live-action, Hayley Mills Disney movie "In Search of The Castaways". The following is my SPOILER-RICH review of the movie:
"In Search of The Castaways" is the story of a girl named Mary (Hayley Mills), her slightly younger brother, and an older man whom they met (Maurice Chevalier), who join with a wealthy, paranoid man and his handsome, but snooty, son, in order to find the missing father of the girl and her brother.
I think that Mary is perhaps the most fearless, capable, feminist live-action Disney heroine ever, but that she's stuck with the weirdest supporting characters/ plot ever. Maurice Chevalier's character is overly-optimistic/ almost trippy. I mean, he's happy about disasters, for goodness' sake! I say that an overload of some happy pill/ some sex life improvement pill is responsible for his insane optimism! He's absolutely plum nutty, fer shurr!
The movie begins too suddenly, and the snooty, young rich guy's change from mean to nice is much, much too sudden to be realistic. Mary is so honest and smart that one knows that SHE will decide if it's really love...at least for HER; at the same time, she smiles at him far too much, anyway.
I sort of feel sorry for Mary, in some ways. She has a few choices, with regards to love interests: Maurice Chevalier's character, the young guy, and a native guide, who really seems to like her. I'd ordinarily say that she should've chosen Chevalier's character, but, in this case, he's too trippy. I wish that she'd have been able to stay with the guide, 'cause the young guy was sort of a jerk towards her, while the other guy would've treated her right. Oh, well. She got a French lesson from Chevalier's character, and the native guy hugged her.
I can see why "In Search of The Castaways" wasn't the runaway box office hit of '62, but I think that it does have merit.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
