Dear My Scene Fans,
Which types of Disney dolls do you currently like more? Those that are made by Mattel, or those that are found at The Disney Store?
I'm starting to think that those dolls that are from The Disney Store are cooler! The princesses are available in costume sets (w/ all of the outfits from their movies), and the princes look pretty cool. Each single doll includes an animal from their movie! Snow White's prince arrives with his horse! Each of the dwarfs is dressable...and undressable! Now, THAT feature hasn't been available since the Seven Dwarfs were put out by Bikin back during the 1980s! The Dwarfs' cottage is even available!
I think that Mattel has the gimmicks, and the cutesy facial features, with regards to their Disney dolls, but that they're not exactly at the top of their game anymore!
I'm considering looking for a new Aladdin doll, and maybe even a new Jasmine doll, as well as the Dwarfs, Snow White's prince, Prince Philip, a couple of princess/ wardrobe sets, etc.
I may even look for The Disney Store's "Princess and the Frog" dolls, too!
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Depends on the doll. My favorite Mulan, Belle and Jasmine are Mattel-made, but my favorite Aurora, Cinders, Snow White, Pocahontas and princes are Disney Store. Mattel made the best normal-looking Ariel (and her sisters), but I'm also fond of the Ariel and Her Sisters line from the Disney Store with the pin-up style exaggerated look. Disney Store made the best Disney Fairies with the original line. Now the best ones are Giochi Preziosi's, which are sold at the Disney Store UK. I'm not pleased with any Tiana so far. I'd rather have her with a closed mouth. So I'm holding out for the 17" special edition in spring.

I'm liking the ones from the Disney store more. They look more like how they looked in thr movies. The Mattel ones look a little crazy.

I prefer the Disney Store dolls. The Mattel dolls are definately cute, but the DS outfits are better quality than Mattel's dolls.

Jeannie, what was the point of cleaning your room only to purchase more things you don't need to refill it with?
