Dear My Scene Fans,
I've been looking at Junglicious Chelsea on Amazon.com, and even if I don't choose her as my gift card purchase, I'll still be curious to know how one might customize her so that she sports ONLY blonde hair...
I have a few questions:
* Are the Junglisicous girls' heads removable? I should think that they would be, because they are not Fab Faces dolls, or anything like that...
* Would it be easy to remove ONLY the red hair, and to disable the "whirling scalp" feature, or would that be a super tough task?
If I did choose Chelsea, instead of a Nox Arcana Winter's Knight c.d., I'd want to know that a successful makeover would be fairly easy...
Thanks in advance for your replies.

The heads are removable. I rebodied mine (before I sold her) quite easily.
It would be very hard to remove the hair from the rotating scalp. It's a lot harder plastic than the rest of the head, and I think it's actually an enclosed piece (if that makes sense) so the hair would be hard to pull out from the inside of the head even after you cut it.
I know there are people who reroot Tuesday Taylor dolls, and they have a similar 'hair changing' mechanism, but I'm not sure how to do it as I've never done it. But from what I understand it's pretty hard to do.
as far as keeping the hair from changing, the scalp is pretty sturdy and doesn't change unless you physically change it yourself. It may shift during brushing though.
So to answer your final question, No. A makeover of a Jungleicious Chelsea would not be easy at all. It would actually be easier to get a regular Chelsea doll and reroot her blonde.

I posted pics awhile (is that one or two words?) back where I took a junglicious delancey scalp (with hair) and transplanted it over to a icy delancey head. I had to also scalp icy del so the hair/scalp would fit and look "natural". The bangs cover any weird cuts/glue marks. I used a special glue to bond plastics (making sure NONE touched the hair) and gave her a boil to lay the hair down and voila! 30 min "reroot" Just found the pics Soo, kinda ghetto but still neat I guess? She doesnt need the headband, I just have a thing for those. Her hair looks fine flat. You cant really pull it back or anything though or the "scars" will show. Im not sure exactly what your asking, but Im just posting this to show you they do have make over potential. If you want her hair blonde in the front, you can always glue the scalp so it wont rotate but as far as giving her WHOLE hair blonde? You might need to get a size 5 wig, take off her scalp, put something there to fill it, and then wig her. I doubt you can do any rerooting of sorts on the hard plastic. Im not sure how that works though.

Dear kingkevin,
Thanks for the instructions, and for the photos. Delancey's new look is wild AND stylish!
I think that if I buy JL Chel, I'll probably just glue her scalp down, so that it won't rotate, because I can't stand the idea that her hair would go flying around if I just BRUSHED it! The image that THAT idea puts into my head is one of the human Cogsworth's toupee flying around on his head...did that happen in "Beauty and The Beast"?
Anyway, thanks again.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

her hair won't go flying around if you brush it. you have to use a little "umph" to get the scalp to spin around in the first place. so i wouldn't worry about the scalp turning while brushing. i think gluing the scalp down would just be messy and would ruin her.

Dear myscenegrl, Thanks for the info. I'm relieved to know that "the toupee effect" won't be an issue! I'm seriously thinking that I will indeed order JL Chelsea! Thanks in advance for your reply. myscenegrl wrote: her hair won't go flying around if you brush it. you have to use a little "umph" to get the scalp to spin around in the first place. so i wouldn't worry about the scalp turning while brushing. i think gluing the scalp down would just be messy and would ruin her.
