I just could not believe my eyes when I found this doll in a charity store... meet Charlotte!



^ This is exactly how I found her in the store. I think maybe the little old lady put that dress on her to tone her down a bit, or maybe the doll's creator did it, I dunno...



^ She has painted on undies!!! How cool is that Note her shoes, they were bluetacked onto her feet. I pulled them off and her feet were manky; the tack must've gone off or something

Whoever customised this doll has talent. Those braids must've taken AGES!! The ends were singed by a lighter I think, coz the ends are black. She also has little lip piercings which have been forced into her lips; actual cuts all over her body (proper cuts in the plastic, coloured in with red pen) but she mainly has them on her wrists, she has those awesome painted on undies and rings on her thighs (I used nail varnish remover since those photos were taken, and straightened the edges up a bit, and I also removed some stains too.)



I'm still shocked that I found this Some emo/goth kid must've taken out all their frustration and anger into this doll!

Holy cow! She IS incredibly detailed and interesting! I'm not so certain that I like the suggestion that she's a total "cutter," but I must admit that everything looks fairly realistic. The painted-on undies were drawn/ painted (?) very carefully; kudos to the creator for doing such a good job, with regards to the undies!

That cool Emo/ Goth girl was either created by an Emo Kid/ a Goth kid, an Emo/ Goth adult, or a customizer who later decided to part with their creation! I'm thinkin' that the under-the-eye, clown-like eyeliner shape is really interesting and unusual!

Enjoy your new find! I don't find many customized dolls! I was surprised at yesterday's street fair when I found Elle and a Chatty Cathy, and tons of Bratz dolls!

Dude. Now I've got flashbacks to spending six hours helping put in braids for a friend, only to spend the next two hours taking them all out because she didn't think we'd finish in time. The smell of singed plastic hair as you burned the end of each braid to set it... Beauty is pain, and your Charlotte suffered.

That said, dude, I can't believe she was in a charity shop. Kinda awesome.
