Sounds cute. It's kind of funny that they do this around the same time that the 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter' hits Universal's Islands of Adventure. It's like they're trying to keep up with the Joneses.

Yeah I saw some of the work for the Potter bit at UIA whilst I was there earlier this year. The thing with Potter is that its on the last 2 films. They should of done work to open after the 3rd film. Well its about time Disney updated. They closed stuff down, but never re-opened anything new in its place. Its gonna be great. xxxxxx Max wrote: Sounds cute. I just hope they don't neglect the less popular/commercial characters. I'm still pissed that they closed the Jessica Rabbit store and the Roger Rabbit Toon Town ride.

Yeah, MGM has gone down hill really. Not as good as it once was. The only good things that are left there are Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Arosmith ride, Indiana Jones and the Muppets.

They must've reopened it then. The last time I went, they had it closed to the public.

According to wikipedia: "The attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios were canceled, but an exact replica of Mickey's Toontown opened at Tokyo Disneyland in 1996."
I have never heard of a Roger Rabbit ride in Florida. Do you have any other information about it?

Sorry there is no such thing as MGM Stuios any more. I didnt realise they changed the name to Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2008.
No there was one there. I remember it as a child. It was around the corner from where the TMNT show and meet and great was. There was also a shop joined onto it with all the RR and JR merchandise. All it as was a simulator where you were driving Benny the Cab. A kiddy ride.
But we are talking over 20 years ago here. That was the last time I saw it. It wasnt there in 1996, 2001, 2006 and this year.
So I cant give any info about it I was only 11 or 12. My memory int that good.

Actually, I don't think that the information from 1994 should be referring to the park as "Disney's Hollywood Studios" as that wasn't the name of the park in 1994. I think the article should have left the name "Disney MGM Studios", with a note of the name change.

Muppets, Roger Rabbit, and Magicians During the beginning of "The Disney Decade" in the 1990s, many ideas were announced and then not built. Once Disney entered into a partnership with Jim Henson, plans for a Muppet version of the Great Movie Ride were created, as well as ideas for a Muppet restaurant. These plans were dropped once Henson died and there were problems with the Henson family. Roger Rabbit was originally going to have a big presence on Sunset Blvd. instead of the Tower of Terror. There would've been a simulator ride and also a Baby Herman Runaway Buggy Ride. This idea appears to have been dropped due to legal problems with Amblin. In addition to the Diamond Double-Cross show, Dick Tracy was going to have a Crimestoppers ride but disappointing box office may have been the reason this attraction was canceled. In the late 1990's, signs at the entrance of the park promised that a restaurant called David Copperfield's Magic Underground was going to open but it never appeared and the sign soon vanished like one of the magician's illusions.

Well I remember the shop clearly because I bought some candy containers from it, there was also an activity area and the warehouse with the fire engine in it.
But Im sure there was a cabbty ride with a Tv screen in front of it as though you were driving. Like small single child ride, like the ones you would put money. Not a main attraction!
It was near the TMNT stage and near the exit to the backlot tours.
Unless I imagined seeing it.
