Dear My Scene Fans,

I was inspired to think of a complete, nautically-themed My Scene wave which would be entitled "Sea-Worthy".

The following is a list of all of the many (10 wave's-worth of products) products which would encompass the Sea-Worthy wave:

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY BASIC WAVE: This is the My Scene wave that's tailor-made for those of you who like your nautical scene runway fashionable! Kennedy, Madison, Chelsea, Delancey, and Nia step out in red, white, blue, and gold nautical style, wearing patterns, fabrics, and shapes that are both ocean-tastic AND full of up-to-date fun! You'll see leggings AND sailboat-shaped earrings, hankerchief-hem skirts AND captain's wheel motifs! Each My Scene girl will arrive with a cool bottle of non-toxic glitter gel, which can be applied to either her hair...or yours!

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY SAILIN' FRIENDS GIFT SETS: This My Scene wave is just for those of you who believe that it takes two to sail! Kennedy is paired with River, Madison is paired with Sutton, Chelsea is paired with Hudson, Delancey is paired with Ellis, and Nia is paired with a new guy! Each unofficial "couple" arrives with a couple of outfits for each half of the couple; one outfit is casual, so that it's perfect for sailing, and for tidying up that boat! The other outfit is more fashionable, so that the sailin' sweethearts can walk through any port town in nautical style!

Each gift set arrives with one super cool message in a bottle; each encouraging message is revealed when the bottle is placed into warm water.

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY TREASURE-SEEKER STYLES WAVE: This is the wave for those of you who love pirate/ treasure-seeker styles! Kennedy, Madison, Chelsea, Delancey, Nia, River, Sutton, Hudson, Ellis, and the new guy are ready for treasure-hunting adventures, wearing clothing that's certain to make you say, "Yarr, Matey!" Each friend arrives with three cool, secret tattoos, which can only be revealed when the included wand is passed over the right locations, with the help of warm water (Note: Gutter-minded concepts are NOT included! The three locations will be nowhere NEAR any personal areas!) Each friend also arrives with a treasure-chest full of items that they can actually wear/ use, and plenty of gold coins!

Wait, though! There's one more secret, and you aren't gonna want to miss this one! Each My Scene friend's figure holds one last secret tattoo, which is a code number. Find the code number with the wand, log onto www.myscene.com, enter the code number, and wait until [Date], and you could be randomly selected as the winner of a private trip to Kauai!

Treasure your chance to win with this cool My Scene wave!

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY SHIP SHAPE WAVE: If you prefer a more official nautical style, set sail with the My Scene friends for a Ship Shape good time! Kennedy, Madison, Chelsea, Delancey, Nia, River, Sutton, Hudson, Ellis, and the new guy EACH get to be captains, with their smart, uniform-like outfits! Each My Scene friend arrives with a shiny whistle, cool nautical decals (with which YOU can customize their outfits and hats), and a shiny new whistle for YOU! There's also a ticket booklet, which includes a money-saving cupon for Sea World, a ticket that's good for savings on boating lessons, a cupon for your own sailor hat, and more.

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY ULTIMATE CRUISE SHIP PLAYSET: You know that you won't want to miss this cruise, because it's being taken on the Sea-Worthy Ultimate Cruise Ship, and Delancey is arriving with the ship, dressed in a smart captain's uniform!

The cruise ship looks compact, but it unfolds, on both sides, for oceans of fun! There are cabins, a kitchen, an upper deck, a dance/ party hall, etc., and there are so many different sounds (Ocean waves, the captain's voice, music, etc.) that you'll have fun from the start of each cruise to its conclusion!

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY WEEKEND AT SEA SAILBOAT PLAYSET: The Sea-Worthy Sailboat is ready to sail, and Kennedy is ready to be your guide, dressed in a casual, yet classy sailing outfit! The boat is very realistic, and it holds up to four My Scene friends. The set arrives with everything that the My Scene friends need to make a sailing weekend fun, including food, water, a camera, a fishing pole, etc. The sailboat arrives with a variety of sea-worthy sounds, inlcuding the sound of water, the sound of wind, the sound of gulls, etc.

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY SECRET ISLAND PLAYSET: Shh! The My Scene friends have found an island, but it's their secret, so don't tell...about the wonders that await you on the island! Nia arrives to guide you around the island, dressed in smart style. The island is a peaceful place, with a natural pool, trees, a tropical bird, a hut, and a cave, which holds a treasure chest! When the included wand is dipped in warm water, and applied to various parts of the island, secret messages are revealed. The island also features various sounds, including the sound of water, the sound of the wind, the sound of whispering voices, the sound of a tropical bird, and clues for treasure hunts, etc.

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY SURFIN' SHOP: The sea-worthy experience wouldn't be as cool without at least one day of surfing! Join a blonde, tanned Delancey, as she invites you into the Sea-Worthy Surfin' Shop, which features a cash register, and plenty of merchandise, including shirts, shorts, surf boards, jewelry, color-changing hair extentions, etc. The shop also features several sounds, including a welcoming greeting, the sound of an order being rung up, a telephone ring, etc.

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY LIGHTHOUSE PLAYSET: Madison is the official lighthouse-keeper of the Sea-Worthy Lighthouse! The lighthouse really lights up, and it arrives equipped with several sounds, inlcuding a fog horn noise, ocean sounds, storm sounds, etc. The interior of the lighthouse includes living quarters, a kitchen, etc. Madison wears a necklace which, when activated, lights up with a lovely golden hue!

MY SCENE SEA-WORTHY SEASIDE TOWN PLAYSET: Let Chelsea, whose name means "Sea port", welcome you to the Sea-Worthy Seaside Town! The town is busy and bustling, with a seafood restaraunte, a tourist shop, a barber shop, etc. There's a cool pier, and a doc, at which to tie up boats like the Sea-Worthy Sailboat. The town lights up, too, and it features several cool sounds, including the sound of sailors, the sound of gulls, the sound of shoppers, etc.

What do you think of the Sea-Worthy wave?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

How do you come up with this stuff? Your descriptions are so detailed.

I really like the fact that the boys are included, but I'm not sure the 'sounds of sailors' is something you'd want in a doll's playset. LOL

Dear Max,

Thanks!

When I stop to think about the implications of the "sounds of sailors", I start LOLing, 'cause I can see what you mean! I guess that fluent cursing, beer-bellied burping, and female rear-end-slapping wouldn't be so appropriate after all! Well, doggone it! I really hope that modern-day sailors aren't really like that, but I don't know any sailors, so...

I suppose that each set could just play the Golden Oldies tune "Brandy" ("Brandy...you're a fine girl..."...you know...)!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the "sounds of sailors" would be different at 10 A.M. than they would be at midnight! Oh, heck! Now I'm thinking dirty thoughts about sailors...first it was bellboys, and now it's sailors...oh, dear!

Remember, though, THESE would be MATTEL sailors..., so they'd only be able to speak in morally regulated sailor lingo!

Thanks in advance for your reply.

My boyfriend used to be a sailor. He can tell you some of the colorful language they used. LOL
