I think Bobby's a little grumpy or doesn't want to be photographed lol! Lucy looks so kind. And Lucky seems to love the attention. I like Lucky and Lucy.

Dear My Scene Fans,

Does anybody else have cats who seem to bite as an expression of love?

My outdoor Tom cat, Mac, "talks" by utilizing many different "meows" (Ie: "MeOH", "Meh", "MEow", etc.), most of which I can imitate almost perfectly. I STILL don't know what any one of those "meows" means, and yet, occassionally, when I meow, Mac will walk right up to me, paw at my leg, and bite me; I don't think that he's trying to be mean, either, but I'm usually too afraid to find out what he wants, because I'm usually too busy backing away. I like talking to Mac, but I'm afraid of being bitten, because Mac uses those teeth to catch critters, and besides, those teeth are fairly sharp.

Mac is also the type of cat who will follow me (down the middle of the road, though), crying pitifully, whenever I decide to take a walk; it's almost as though he wants me to stay with him during as many moments as possible. He's so sweet.

Does anybody else's cat seem to bite them as an expression of...love (?). I really think that if that type of behavior were malicious, many cats, including Mac, would be outright attacking people.

I know cats normally bite in expression of jealousy like my cat who passed away whenever someone come over a relative, friend or just visitors he bites them.

But he also tries bite me a lot of times which I usually avoid, but I think the reason he bites me is the same reason I always hug him too tight its because I can't resist him being too cute! Maybe he's in playing mood or really wants attention.

That's very nice that he follows you, when my cats were a bit younger they do follow me too, but now they just ignore me except for my male cat who wants attention sometimes, so he rests in my lap.

Sorry that I cannot answer your questions, but maybe you can assess and compare.

Jeannie, definitely!! My Shadow gives me "love bites" all the time!! LOL And yes, they can be a bit hard at times. I know he doesn't mean it, though.

Lucky bites me at times and it's usually out of jealousy or he wants me to play with him. He was used to being an only "child" then we inherited the dogs. He just wants his time but it usually is just soft bites the hard bites he runs But he never breaks skin with his bites that's an absolute HELL NO
