Dear My Scene Fans,
All of that physical closeness was one of the FIRST things that I noticed! I mean, I know that the My Scene girls are supposed to be really good friends, but, good grief!
Delancey doesn't look weird, but there's definitely something weird about Kennedy, Nia, and Chelsea. Kennedy's either oblivious to Nia, or she's taking Nia's hand with a purpose in mind. Nia looks shocked, as though she's doing something that she shouldn't be doing, or whatever. Chelsea's touching Nia's shoulder, and SHE'S looking shocked, too, and slightly too pleased. Then there's Madison; she's only touching Chelsea's hand (I'm surprised that she isn't hurting Chelsea's hand, because her hand is right on top of Chelsea's hand), but she has a slightly Jessica Rabbit-esque look on her face.
A heaping helping of inuendos, Mattel? What sort of a message ARE you trying to send...to KIDS? EEK! Really, though...I think that some artist got carried away, when, in fact, the pic. was meant to be 100% innocent...
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sorry to say this but I think the artist probly didn't have any intentions of making them look the way we think they do. Sometimes we look too deep and take something innocent and turn them the other way around. The artist is probly just want to portray friendship.
Then again, nowadays most friends come with benefits lol.

I don't get it. I think it's normal. Maybe it's a cultural thing. Here in my country friends hold hands all the time while walking, sitting and during other activities. We're like chains. LOL. We also tend to kiss each others cheeks a lot.

Dear My Scene Fans,
It's probably a cultural thing, fierce-angel, because here in California, I grew up in a fairly prejudiced community; I've lived in that same community since 1984.
When I was in grade school, if two girls held hands with each other, they were teased unmercifully. If you were a girl, and the other girls pushed you into the boys' bathroom (I was pushed into the boys' bathroom all of the time, and I wasn't mature enough to just say, "Whatever!"), that was embarrassing. During the very late 1980s, the rich girls would brag about how much their parents had spent on their tennis shoes!
Later, during about 1993, if a California boy wore only one earring, as was the fashion back then, he had to be carefull to wear it in the correct ear, or he'd be teased like crazy.
If someone who isn't Caucasian, Hispanic, or maybe Asian, walks down the street in town, they're going to be very noticed, because the community is predominantly Caucasian.
That may change, what with the new businesses, etc., but these days, a ton of super rich people are moving to town, and they want every street to look as though it came from shows like "Leave It To Beaver", "Donna Reed", etc.
Someday, I just KNOW that I'm gonna be lookin' at some strange guy, and I'm gonna be saying, "If you like to watch women doing little domestic chores around the house, you've come to the right place." EW! <Shudders>
I still live here because I love the stores, the ability to see real deer, etc. I don't like the idea of allowing the area to become too developed.
Do the French greet each other with a kiss on the cheek, or have I watched too many movies...?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I wish they would have broken up the tops from the skirts for more mix-and-match options. It's pretty limited the way it is. Oh well. Still glad they are updating the site. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't get it either. I see nothing wrong with holding hands (and giving salsa-lessons to your she-friend) It's just friendly affection.

Here in America, lots of girls make out with each other. Its considered normal in the US for straight girls to tounge while partying. It turns on members of the opposite sex.

Yeah..a lot of guys do the same thing here too. I've helped many of my guy friends out by tonguing them down to turn on chicks. Sometimes it works..sometimes it does, but it's fun for me either way..lol!

Trust me Spunkboy...it happens. You'd be surprised at how many girls get just as turned on by seeing two guys make out as guys get turned on by seeing two girls...and guys will do it if they think it will get them closer to scoring with said female. Seen it for myself..lol

The gals updated their blogs again. So...
DEJA VU. Kennedy got a Barbie moment when she loses her cell phone but some dude finds it...too bad she stole Barbie's man!
Nia plays a prank on Mads. xD Mads.
Madison wants a new 'do...is this a hint of something? O.o Naw...
Chelsea at flea market again...Hudson stops by to flirt with her. Awww...but wait, when was Hudson skater boi?
Delancey's pet is eating her plants...so she puts chili powder on em.
Besides Chelsea's and Nia's, I'm bored. Whoever does the new blogs is not making it much fun to read, really.
