Can we have an official rule as to how wide the avatar size can be?

Or should I put a desktop on as an avatar again?

I agree there needs to be a rule about avatar sizes and about quoting so many pictures.

"Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 100 pixels, the height no greater than 200 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB"

AGREED!

I don't care how long they are, but 100 pixels is an excellent width. It doesn't mess up the board.

As long as people arnt stupid about it and have a really heigh one.

I dont know how people dont know what size the Avatar should be.
It states on the members profile page, exactly where you add the avatar.

I don't think it's so much that they don't know, but that they figured out they can get away with a bigger one.

Its just thoughtlessness then.

I liked the US version. But the British did it better.

I haven't seen the British version but I heard there are only a few differences.

But to get back on topic, someone needs to start PM'ing these 'big avi' people and let them know to shrink their sh*t

as someone who's had controversial avatars, I think I will take the lead on informing people when their avis are too big.

NOVA, That's a good size. I don't expect you to know, it's just that we don't have it as a specific rule and some people do go over board with it. In the past we've had as bad as half the page as an avatar. It's hard to read when you have to keep scrolling. Espeically for those that have lower resolution. The point of bringing it up here is so that it can be made as a rule to keep the board in shape and easy to read for everyone. That is if only mods and owner of the board could maybe pay a little more attention and actually putting it in a sticky post so everyone, not just new people, can know about it.
