First, I would like to say that I had the black barbie as a little girl and I hated it. She was the ugliest doll and still is. I grew up in a diverse neighborhood and never saw anyone that looked like her. My dad would not buy me white dolls when I was little and I was stuck with the ugly black barbies.

I am so excited to see these when they come out. One of my favorite dolls when I was a kid was Peaches and Cream Barbie. Heh I can honestly say out of the list you posted I will probably want all of them but the Kelly dolls. Not a big collector of them.

I want to see pictures! The Barbie Basics sounds interesting. But my question still stands, why is Totally Hair Barbie being snubbed from the 'My Favorite Barbie' collections?

Black Barbie is a gorgeous doll!
Like Eilonwe mentioned, she's got the Steffie headmold (which I adore), as well as that beautiful fro. I have one dressed as Lieutenant Uhura from Star Trek, and another NRFB. I'll be getting the repro as well.

Dear My Scene Fans,
Thank you for the news, bjoinks!
I am, like, totally looking forward to the 2010 MFB girls! I will totally be getting one each of Black Barbie and Peaches and Cream Barbie! I'm suddenly glad that I only have ONE each of the 2009 MFB dolls (Although if I ever find a more perfect TNT than the one that I have now...)! I can get more, and I won't feel so badly about deboxing them, displaying them...gently, etc., because I'll know that I'll be able to get more new MFB dolls!
I also want to find the Vintage Career Teacher, and the Vintage Career Stewardess! They sound as though they'll look cool! I'm hoping that a Vintage Nurse is on the way...
The Barbie Basics collection sounds as though it's cool, too! I really hope that the dolls arrive with the articulated bodies!
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thnx SO much bjoinks for posting!
I also luv Black Barbie. I always thought she was gorgeous and wanted her. She's one of the main reasons I bought this girl. She has kind of the same look as her.
Charlie's Angels Kelley's sound so adorable and I hope adult Barbie versions made on Model Muse / Jazz Baby bodies.
The Ladies of the 80's sound so awesome. I really want Cyndi Lauper!
Basic Barbie sounds very interesting. I'm eager to see some promo pictures.

Dear Max,
There's actually a song entitled "Black Barbie"?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

They are going sequentially, so there is always hope. They are just now up to 1984 with Peaches and Cream.

Hmm...I really don't like the AA Astronaut Barbie.
Her makeup is too heavy and is quite a putt off.
Also not too fond of her outfit.
Thanks for the link somebadchic!!

The make-up on that '85 AA Astronaut Barbie is horrendous. However, if you want to get super technical, she uses the 1983 Spain face mold so...!
Oh and I WANT THE CYNDI LAUPER DOLL!
