I sucessfully altered Splashy Chic Madison's dress and made it a top. I was watching Project Runway and had a 'Chelsea' moment. :D
I made the bottom frill of the dress into a scarf. I think it looks more wearable now.

Sam it looks awesome 8) . I'm always altering a fashion in some way when the mood hits me. I'm trying to get back into taking pics since I'm so behind with it. Once I get the urge I will take some pics of some clothes I've changed... :D

Dear myscenehangout,

"What did we tell you about altering on the subway, Chelsea?" <mock frown>

I know that Madison's dress isn't technically a dress anymore, but I think that Madison's SpSc look has actually GAINED an extra touch of style!

She can wear her new top over a skirt, or over shorts, or over pants. The scarf can actually help to keep her warm when the rain is more than just a light shower; she can wear the scarf as a scarf, or as a headband...or as a belt!

Cool styling, myscenehangout!

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanx Jeannie!

I was really tough to put this dress in a outfit, so it alot better as a graphic tank top and scarf. I'll have to try it as a belt.

Maybe Ruby should be an upcoming teen fashion designer or stylist? Oh, and you should so try to find a Madison that just screams "SAMMY!" You know, I sometimes wish companies would make MS clones of the guys....xD so random.

Anika, I LUVED what you did with the Rocker Raquelle 'Barbie' print dress. You were another inspiration for me to do the alteration.

Great idea Nat! A My Scene me! Veronica is the somewhat offbeat stylist of my group, but I like the idea of Ruby being that too.

I want My Scene boy clones too. Instead of a girl 2 pack, it could be a couple pack.

I did it again, to SpCh Chesea's outfit. It was a lottle more difficult. The stitching was kind of odd.

I've realised that now. :(

Well, I'll just call it practice. You learn from mistakes.

Oooh, iCandi has their own shoe brands now? :D What paint did you use, model paint? I painted my extra pair of JBB Kennedy shoes red and white to fit the Target dress, but I really need to use model paint so it stays...

Hmmm...cause the paint keeps on rubbing off my shoes...I'll use my Wal-mart ones this weekend.

Sammy could make her own Club _____ line with those boots. ;)
